NARBO's IWRM-Based

Online Training Courses

Applications are now open to the diploma online training courses on (i) river basin management (RBM), and (ii) environmental management (EM).

 

Full tuition for the RBM course and EM course amounts to US$1,230 and US$770, respectively. Study grants to cover the tuition fee are available for up to 35 successful applicants. Selection process to be undertaken by CEDDET will start immediately after the application deadline.

 

Applicants are encouraged to visit CEDDET´s web page www.ceddet.org to create their free account (REGISTRATION). Once registered, applicant may go to NARBO Online Training Programme "Managing Water in Asia’s River Basins" and complete the online application form.

 

River Basin Management (RBM, 1st Edition)

Course dates: 23 September to 8 December 2013

Deadline for applications is 8 September 2013

Objectives:

promote exchange of experiences and institutional capacity building for integrated management of water resources in Asian countries

update knowledge of the fundamentals in the different processes of integrated RBM

provide knowledge oriented to the improvement of management skills and global vision of the different processes and elements for decision making in the planning and management of river basins

contribute to the development of methodologies to guide integrated management of river basins

Environmental Management (EM, 1st Edition)

Course dates: 21 October to 15 December 2013

Deadline for applications is 6 October 2013

Objectives:

promote exchange of experiences and institutional capacity building for environmental management of water resources in Asian countries

update knowledge of the fundamentals in the evaluation of water ecosystems and the pressures and impacts of human activities

provide knowledge oriented to the improvement of management skills to address environmental challenges and the implementation of measures to preserve and restore water-environment functionalities

contribute to the development of methodologies and planning to implement environmental management in river basins
